ATV/UTV Routes in the City of Hartford
Hartford Common Council's recent decision approved the city of Hartford streets as ATV/UTV routes. The new routes are not yet opened. An ordinance must be publicly posted, notifications must be made to several outside governmental agencies, and the new routes have to be posted. The work is underway regarding those items.

Representing the Newest Military Service Branch
The American Legion Germantown Post #1 received a $5,000 Washington County Tourism grant, in order to prepare and install a flagpole representing the newest military service branch, the U.S. Space Force. It will be located at the Military Services Memorial in Germantown, at the corner of Park Avenue and Freistadt Road. The concept for the memorial was developed by Ken Puls, Jim Heimann and a third Vietnam veteran, Mel Ewert, who is deceased.

Jefferson County Economic Development Consortium in Jefferson will be offering a workshop to assist local residents to understand and master the home buyer process and possibly locate down payment assistance funding to help with the process. This assistance to purchase a home for qualified buyers in Jefferson/Dodge Counties can be up to $20,000 in forgivable loans.
