Nighttime closures planned for South College Avenue

Cecil County Farm Museum breaks ground on new facilities
ELKTON — Shovels broke ground at the Cecil County Farm Museum and Regional Agricultural Center to prepare for construction of a building that will house public restrooms and a commercial kitchen. OLIPHANT & WARRINGTON MILL DAM UPDATES
WOOLWICH TWP. – Two dams in our area, Oliphant Mill (Porches Mill) Dam, as well as Warrington Mill Dam have been closed in recent years causing rerouting of traffic. According to Caryn Shinske of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, there is no set date for completion of the projects, but Oliphant Mill Road Dam is in the review stages with the Bureau of Dam Safety.
Delaware City Council Continues To Consider Proposed Tax Levy
The proposed ordinance seeks authorization for a 0.45% increase in the City’s income tax. At the upcoming Delaware City Council meeting on July 8, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, Ordinance No. 24-60 will be up for a public hearing and second reading. This ordinance proposes an amendment to Chapter 192 of the City’s Codified Ordinances, aiming to levy an additional forty-five one-hundredths of one percent (0.45%) income tax. The funds generated from this increase will be dedicated to capital improvements, maintenance and repair of streets, and the payment of securities issued for these purposes.
