Fire burning in NJ's Wharton State Forest; Batona campground evacuated
TABERNACLE, N.J. (CBS) -- The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is responding to a 1,200-acre wildfire in Wharton State Forest.NJFFS officials said containment crews were making progress and the fire was 40% contained Friday evening.As a precaution, the forest's Batona Campground was evacuated by park police after the fire broke out, which the service is labeling as the Tea Time Hill Wildfire. Rehoboth Beach man faces felony charges after early morning traffic stop
DEWEY BEACH, Del. – A Rehoboth Beach man is facing felony charges following a traffic stop early Friday morning. Dewey Beach Police say they stopped 21-year-old Kyle Kilgo for motor vehicle violations in the area of Coastal Highway and Scarborough Avenue Extended in Rehoboth Beach just after 2AM. During the stop officers say they found a large fixed-blade knife concealed in the glove compartment, plus marijuana, suspected promethazine and drug packaging paraphernalia in the car.

Athletes of the Week July 5
Leading her team in the circle and at the plate, Ainsley Clem caught the attention of quite a few softball fans with her strikeout ability in the District 3 softball major all-star tournament by striking out 15 over nine innings of work. In the Cape team's 8-3 loss to Laurel July 1, Clem registered nine of those strikeouts while driving in a team-leading two runs on a team-high two hits. She also led her squad in steals, swiping an impressive three. Clem began playing softball in third grade, at the age of 8, for Lewes Little League. Although she has only been playing for three years, her strides as a strikeout pitcher have come thanks to her pitching coach Rachel Hudson. Clem will be a sixth-grader at the new Frederick Thomas Middle School in Lewes in the fall. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog, Nova, being outside, swimming at the pool and relaxing at the beach.
