'Test and Go' Health Kiosks could soon be available in Delco

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Free health supplies and testing kits could soon be available to residents in Delaware County 24/7.

The Delaware County Health Department announced last week an initiative to roll out “Test and Go” Health Kiosks that would provide residents with free and accessible testing, results, and health resources.

Delaware County Health Department Deputy Director Lora Werner says the pilot program includes three machines, which would be located in Chester, Yeadon and Media.

She says the kiosks would provide things like RSV and COVID tests, as well as Narcan.

She expects this program, which costs around $200,000, to roll out within the next few months.

“We are just in the early planning stages now, all those details about how folks will interact with the machines, we’re going to be hammering out with the vendor over the next couple of months,” Werner said.
