    Bob Marley Festival, Arden Fair, 'Handcrafted' event at Winterthur & more events to see

    Big Arden Fair turns 116

    How many events in Delaware can boast a history longer than the invention of Band-Aid? That's where the 116th annual Arden Fair comes into play. This gem of an event is back with handcrafted items from over 100 vendors. There's an Antiques Market, used books (in the Gild Hall), food, beverages, live music (at Shady Grove), backstage gallery, children's games and more fun.

    Bob Marley Festival to jam in Wilmington

    Considering the late great Bob Marley lived in Wilmington, it only makes sense that the city hosts one of the premier events in the tristate area that pays homage to the reggae icon.

    The 30th annual Peoples Festival: Tribute to Bob Marley will deliver a summer extravaganza with a music lineup, headlined by iconic dancehall queen and DJ Sister Nancy . Other acts include Junior Toots , Reemah , Indigenous hip-hop star Supaman , Josh David Barrett , DJ Prez and local rising stars Lena Aura and Gwapstarr , plus other artists.

    In addition to lots of music, the beloved festival offers a variety of vendors, too.

    Little Feat to play Freeman stage

    The legendary band Little Feat will help you jump-start Labor Day weekend with a concert downstate where patrons are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

    The band cooks up a musical gumbo of a broad range of styles and genres into something unique. Jamming for over 50, Little Feat is best known for their tunes including "Dixie Chicken," "Let it Roll" and "Willin.'"

    Winterthur spotlights 'Handcrafted' event

    Winterthur is determined to make sure you have an eventful Labor Day weekend during its "Handcrafted" event, featuring craftspeople and artisans who keep traditional handcrafts alive.

    Quilter Selina Toedter (of Bean and Toad) will complete the community quilt that started with visitors to this summer's Terrific Tuesdays. Guests also will meet crafters from the Harmony Weavers Guild and the Society of American Period Furniture Makers , who will highlight in-progress works, finished pieces, and tools of the trade.

    Allen Stone to groove Dewey Beach

    Soul and R&B singer Allen Stone is set to spend another consecutive summer on stage in Dewey Beach, this time while on his "A Bit of Everywhere" tour. The vocalist, who recently dropped his new song "Can't Explain This Love," played Dover's inaugural Firefly Music Festival in 2012. Allen Stone's beach concert will feature opener Cassandra Lewes .
