East Richland Water System issues boil advisory for Delhi, effective immediately

DELHI, La. (KTVE/KARD) — As per a press release from the East Richland Parish Water System, a boil advisory is now in place for Delhi. This is due to an equipment malfunction that has raised concerns about the water quality.

Therefore, as a precaution, it is recommended that residents adhere to the following directions until the boil advisory is lifted:

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means: Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one-minute starts after the water have been brought to a rolling boil. The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one clean container to another.

When the advisory is lifted, KTVE/KARD will inform you.
