A Bovina man has pleaded guilty to a drug charge in Delaware County. According to the Delaware County District Attorney, Sean R. Gillespie pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree- Possession With Intent to Sell after admitting he possessed fentanyl in Delhi with the purpose of re-selling it back in March.
Woman killed after tree falls on camper during severe storm in Upstate NY
A 45-year-old woman inside a camper at a campground in Upstate New York was killed by tree that fell during a powerful storm on Saturday, officials said. Carol E. Luistro was pinned under the tree at the Russell Brook Campsites in Colchester at about 10:50 a.m., police in the Delaware County town said. Luistro, of Edison, New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene.
SP: Impaired Upstate New York Man Left Kids In Hot Car At Walmart
An alleged impaired man is accused of leaving two kids inside a car that was around 100 degrees while he shopped at Walmart. New York State Police were called around 3 p.m., about children locked inside a hot vehicle and "screaming" at the Walmart parking lot located on State Highway 23 in the town of Oneonta.

Police Add Extra Patrols for Holiday Weekend
New York State Police and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols to crack down on drunk and drugged driving and other traffic infractions during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. A group of hikers needed rescuing in Sullivan County during the extreme heat wave that hit the Hudson Valley this month. If you missed it from June 18th through the 24th the Hudson Valley and New York State were hit with an extreme heatwave. Experts were calling it a heat dome. New York State Police at Homer need your help in identifying these two suspects - a male and a female. Trooper responded to a call at the Walmart on Bennie Road in Cortlandville on May 14, 2024. It was reported that the two suspects left the store with a full cart of items and did not try to pay for the items. The suspects fled the Walmart in a black pickup truck. Despite their best efforts, Troopers have not been able to locate the suspects and need the public's help identifying them.
