Man sentenced in St. Paul double fatal stabbing from 2022
ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - The St. Paul man who pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing two men at a sober living house in 2022 was sentenced Friday. According to court records, Joseph Sandoval II, 34, was sentenced to 278 months with credit for 638 days already served for the first count of second-degree murder with intent. He was sentenced to 180 months for the second count of second-degree murder with intent. Sandoval is to serve the sentences consecutively, totaling 458 months, or about 38 years.
Several injured, buildings damaged in shooting incident on The Nicollet Mall
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Four people were injured and several businesses damaged after a shooting Wednesday night in downtown Minneapolis. Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a man beating up a woman before gunfire was heard around 11:15 p.m. on Nicollet Mall. Three people with injuries approached officers and reported hearing a fight before the shooting began. One man suffered a gunshot wound, a woman suffered graze wounds, and a teenage girl suffered lacerations from glass shards. Nearly two hours later, another injured woman arrived at HCMC with a gunshot wound. All are expected to survive. No arrests have been made.

Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News) - A child was severely injured in a dog attack this afternoon in the Twin Cities. The Brooklyn Park Police Department says officers were dispatched at 12:45 PM to a report of a dog attacking a three-year-old child in the 7500 block of Brooklyn Park Drive. A news release says the officers arrived to find two pit bulls attacking the child.

16-year-old girl injured in Minneapolis shooting Friday evening
MINNEAPOLIS — A teenage girl was injured in a shooting late Friday night in Minneapolis.Minneapolis police say the shooting happened on the 1300 block of Lake Street West around 11:30 p.m. They found a 16-year-old girl at the scene with an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers provided medical aid until emergency services arrived, and she was taken to a hospital.Investigators believe there was an altercation outside of the building before someone fired their gun. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.No one has been arrested.
