MINNEAPOLIS — Call centers are coming back online after a global Microsoft outage knocked out 911 for counties across the nation Friday morning. Companies that use Microsoft have been affected by the outages across the world starting Thursday night and persisting into Friday morning. Many people are stuck in airport lines or stranded at their destination temporarily as airlines race to get planes back in the air.

Gov. Walz encourages applications to three programs for new farmers
(Pine Island, MN)--Gov. Tim Walz wants new farmers to take advantage of three state programs to help them get started in agriculture. The governor was in Pine Island this week to talk about the need to get more young people interested in farming. Walz said the state will begin accepting applications for the beginning farmer loan program, the down payment assistance program and the beginning farmer tax credit on August 1st.
