    Party with Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute at OC's Seacrets, surf-rock legend at Burley Oak

    It’s been a wild and crazy summer at beach concert venues, and it’s not over yet. A ton of shows are still on the horizon, and the genres and styles run the gamut.

    Ocean City's Seacrets has Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute, much more

    In Ocean City, Seacrets has a number of music events on the horizon. Tribute act the Red Not Chili Peppers will play inside the Morley Hall at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18. Ska-punk quartet Bumpin’ Uglies will play its annual concert outside on the beach stage Wednesday, Aug. 21 (with special guest Joey Harkum opening at 7 p.m.). National reggae act Fortunate Youth will play inside the Morley Hall at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. All three of these shows will have an admission fee of $10 (or free with local ID).

    Catch a wave with surf-rock favorite at Berlin's Burley Oak

    In Berlin, the Burley Oak Brewing Company will host singer-guitarist Donovon Frankenreiter at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 ($35). Don’t be surprised if you catch the surf-rock songwriter at one of the local beaches, as he has been known to ride some waves during the day when he plays Delmarva. Burley Oak has also placed tickets on sale for a 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 appearance by the Amish Outlaws ($25).

    Bottle & Cork will be rocking for anniversary bash, Led Zeppelin tribute

    In Dewey Beach, the legendary Bottle & Cork will be packed to the rafters at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16 when former local favorite Mr. Greengenes reunites to play the nightclub’s sold-out 88th Anniversary Party. Another rock bash will take place at 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18 when Kashmir Featuring Jean Violet brings its “Spirit of Led Zeppelin” show to the stage ($30).

    The Cork has also placed tickets on sale for a pair of September concerts featuring country performers. Allen Stone will perform at 8 p.m. on Labor Day, which this year falls on Monday, Sept. 2 ($35). Chase Wright will play at 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29 ($20).

    Freeman stage has country superstar, Grateful Dead tribute and more

    In Selbyville, the outdoor Freeman Arts Pavilion continues to host big names at its Sounds Like Summer concert series — which is drawing thousands of spectators. Country star Cole Swindell will play to a sold-out crowd Thursday, Aug. 15. Dark Star Orchestra will pay tribute to the Grateful Dead at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 ($50). Old Crow Medicine Show is sure to play its trademark hit “Wagon Wheel” during its 7 p.m. show Sunday, Aug. 18 ($50).

    The Big Chill Beach Club, located off northbound Route 1 at the Indian River Inlet, will host the return of California touring duo the Wheeland Brothers at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22 ($25). The siblings mix rock, folk, reggae and pop.
