Ocean City, MD - Ocean City, Maryland is the White Marlin Capital of the World, and anglers across the area celebrate every year when the first white marlin is caught. On Sunday, June 2, 2024 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Angler Jake Emche, along with Vessel Captain Andrew Dotterweich, caught the first white marlin of Ocean City's 2024 season while fishing aboard Fish On which was 25 miles east of the Baltimore Canyon. The marlin was released shortly after being caught.
