10 most expensive homes sold in York County, July 1-7
A house in Manchester Township that sold for $700,000 tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in York County in the past week. In total, 115 residential real estate sales were recorded in the county during the past week, with an average price of $284,528. The average price per square foot ended up at $155.
Heat advisory across central Pa. to get week off to another uncomfortable start
The heat isn’t leaving central Pennsylvania anytime soon, although rain and storms from mid-week on could keep those brown patches in your lawn from getting any bigger than they are. Another heat advisory has been issued across parts of central Pa., effective from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
Air quality alert in effect for central Pa. on Monday
An air quality alert was issued in effect through Monday for Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, York and Lancaster counties. “The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert on Monday for the Susquehanna Valley. A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors,” according to the National Weather Service.
