The Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals play at 1 p.m. Sunday at Highmark Stadium.

Which team starts the season with a win?

The Bills are a 6-point favorite over the Cards. The money line is Bills minus-270 (bet $270 to win $100) and Cardinals plus-220 (bet $100 to win $220). The over-under is 48.

Democrat and Chronicle: Bills 27, Cardinals 17

Sal Maiorana writes: "The Bills are definitely a team in a bit of a transition phase so nothing should be considered a sure thing, not even a season opener against the Cardinals at Highmark Stadium. But Josh Allen will find a way to get it done in a game he knows he can’t stub his toes in."

CBS Sports: Bills 27, Cardinals 24

Pete Prisco writes: "The Cardinals were a feisty team last season and will be even better in 2024. But this is a tough way to open, on the road against a Super Bowl contender. The Bills have a lot of new faces, but Josh Allen will still be Josh Allen. Even so, I think Arizona will keep this close. Bills take a tight one. "

The Arizona Republic: Bills 27, Cardinals 20

Jeremy Cluff writes: "The Cardinals went into Philadelphia late last season and upset the Eagles, so they are certainly capable of upsetting the Bills in Week 1. But we have questions about Arizona's ability to stop Josh Allen."

Sports Illustrated: Bills will win, Cards will cover spread

Pete Dewey writes: "Call me crazy, but I like Arizona a ton in this game — and honestly this season — especially if it is getting six points. The Cardinals should have an improved offensive attack now that Murray is healthy for a full season and Harrison Jr. is in the fold, and young tight end Trey McBride was a breakout star for Arizona in 2023. There’s a ton of questions for Buffalo offensively, and while I think Josh Allen is an elite player, he does have a tendency to turn the ball over. That coupled with a bunch of new faces on offense, could lead to a slow start for the Bills. They still should win this game at home, but laying nearly a touchdown in Week 1 is too rich for my blood."

    Dimers: Bills 26, Cardinals 21

The sports betting analysts at Dimers say: "According to our analysis, the Bills are more likely to beat the Cardinals in the NFL game at Highmark Stadium on Sunday." They came up with that after simulating the game 10,000 times. That's a sick amount of Madden.

    Fansided: Bills 26, Cardinals 21

Sayre Bedinger writes: "A healthy Kyler Murray getting Marvin Harrison is great news for Arizona, but can they go into a tough place to play like Buffalo and steal an early win? I'm going to play it safe here, even though the Cardinals should have the Bills on upset alert."

The Sporting News: Bills 27, Cardinals 20

Jarrett Bailey writes: "The Cardinals will be a fun offense in 2024, but that defense is still full of young unknowns. Buffalo will begin the year 1-0. "

    Bills Wire: Buffalo Wins

Nick Wojton writes: "The Cardinals have a lot to prove after a bad 2023 … and an Orchard Park home opener is going to be difficult for anybody."
