Cool temperatures and breezy conditions will make for good football weather when the Buffalo Bills host the Arizona Cardinals for their season opener.

With highs in the low 60s expected for kickoff, it will be quite a bit cooler than the normal 75 degrees on Sept. 8 in the Buffalo area. While the temperature and clear skies are favorable, the possibility of a moderate breeze could impact some deep passes and kicks.

The game hasn’t been flagged for any weather concerns by betting sites, but wind has a measured effect on football games.

Every passing metric decreases as winds become stronger, including production measures and efficiency metrics, according to Covers, a sports betting information service.
