Spencer, IA (KICD) — As promised, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds made another visit with some of her top agency heads to flood-ravaged Northwest Iowa Wednesday. In Spencer KICD News asked the Governor to respond to a letter sent by the city of Okoboji after councilmembers said they felt the state was unaware of the level of flooding at the Great Lakes.

A 19-year-old Mt. Vernon teen has been charged in Marion County Court with three counts of aggravated battery following an altercation at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. Alana Schmidt of Richview Road was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a private security officer after allegedly pushing two security officers with her hand. The third count is for aggravated battery to a nurse for allegedly striking a nurse at the hospital in the jaw with her hand.
