Long-time Road America employee lives at the race track
ELKHART, Wis. — A Road America staff member has worked at the track for over 30 years. He loved the place so much that he decided to make it his literal home. Bryan Walthers saw his first race at Road America when he was 9-years-old. He was immediately hooked and now lives in a 37-foot-long motorhome at the track. Rain or shine, he is busy making sure everything runs smoothly in what is now his backyard.
1 dead, 1 injured in ATV crash
One person is dead and a second person was seriously injured in an ATV crash that appears to have involved alcohol, police said. The crash was reported at about 8:30 a.m. on July 20 at the Tigerton OHV Park and Campground in Shawano County. Police Chief Michael Weatherwax said an employee found the two victims and CPR was in progress when rescue crews arrived on scene.
