Spiders season comes to an end with gut-wrenching loss to Morries
Facing elimination in the 13/60 playoff bracket, the Morristown Morries and Cleveland Spiders traveled to Faribault’s Bell Field for the play-in round. After trailing by three runs for much of the night, Cleveland put-together a four-run rally in the seventh to take a lead, but the Morries bunkered down and retook the lead in bottom of the seventh, holding on to win 6-5. Vikings Sign CB Duke Shelley
Duke Shelley is back with a familiar team in time for training camp. The veteran corner re-joined the Vikings on Tuesday, per a team announcement. Shelley spent his first three seasons in the league with Chicago, logging six starts and 30 appearances during that span. He did not survive roster cuts in 2022, though, and upon clearing waivers he found himself on the Vikings’ practice squad. The former sixth-rounder made five starts upon signing to Minnesota’s active roster that year, and he recorded his lone career interception during his first Vikings stint (one which predated the arrival of defensive coordinator Brian Flores).

MINNEAPOLIS — A storm system moving slowly across Minnesota on Tuesday will mostly miss the Twin Cities.The cluster cralwed across western and central Minnesota before skirting the metro. As of midmorning, southern Minnesota was still dealing with heavy rain.Rain is still possible in the Twin Cities in the afternoon and evening, but after that, we've got a stretch of dry time lasting the rest of the week.Highs will approach 80 on Tuesday in the Twin Cities and remain similar on Wednesday, then things will start to warm up. By the weekend, highs will be near 90 degrees. Rain and storms may return by Sunday and continue into early next week.
