The Rotary Club of Kent Island, in collaboration with Rotary Clubs in Denton, Centerville, Chestertown and Easton, alongside partners including the Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce, Tides of Grace and Grasonville Community Center, announced a transformative initiative aimed at making a difference in the lives of men in need.

From June 1 to July 31, these organizations will join forces to conduct a men’s clothing drive to support the work of Sharp Dressed Men. The drive seeks donations of dry-cleaned suits, sports coats, slacks, ties, laundered dress shirts, dress shoes and belts. Additionally, clothing that has not been laundered or dry cleaned will be accepted, with arrangements made to have items cleaned at local cleaners and laundries.

Sharp Dressed Men, renowned for its commitment to empowering individuals through professional attire, will be hosting an event at the Grasonville Community Center on Aug. 2. The clothing collected during the drive will directly support this event, providing men with the attire and confidence they need to pursue employment opportunities and achieve self-sufficiency.

“This collaborative effort embodies the spirit of community and compassion,” said Candi Cook, president of the Rotary Club of Kent Island. “By coming together with our fellow Rotarians and esteemed partners, we have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of men in our communities, helping them take strides toward a brighter future.”
