Grand Island Fire Department gets pet oxygen masks thanks to donation
GRAND ISLAND, Neb.- A fire department in central Nebraska is now more equipped to help pets during a fire thanks to a donation from a local clinic. “They had seen animals come in after a fire and they thought, how can we help this situation, how can we get help to the animals a little bit sooner,” said Fire Chief Cory Schmidt.
Falls City pursues Stone Street amphitheater
FALLS CITY – The Falls City City Council approved a resolution committing a property north of the Falls City Library & Arts Center for an amphitheater. The amphitheater is proposed on five open lots at 1506 Stone St. It will provide 15,000-square-feet of space for creating an arts-focused environment, promote recreational activities and stimulate economic growth.
