    As a reviewer of 6,000 grant proposals, I have seen far too many that miss the mark and, unfortunately, are set aside. It’s a shame because these funding opportunities represent a lifeline for many entrepreneurial enterprises. So a well-written proposal — one that checks all the boxes — is essential.

    Too often, grant-writing guidelines are overlooked, and required information is omitted, while information that isn’t pertinent to the proposal is included. Finding what is required is sometimes buried or left out. The following tips will improve your chances of success:
