48 Cities Where Red Lobster Locations are Closing (Florida, Texas, and Other States)

Red Lobster is currently in the process of exploring bankruptcy, and media reports indicate a filing could come within the next few weeks. A bankruptcy would allow the company to reorganize and negotiate costly leases, debt from its creditors, and potentially even labor agreements.
Yet, even before an official bankruptcy filing, the company is making major changes. Auctions are being held for equipment from 48 different Red Lobster locations that are closing across 21 states. Prior to these closures, Red Lobster reported more than 700 locations, so most stores will stay open. However, if you live by any of these stores and like Red Lobster, you’ll have to find another location to visit.
Colorado has four locations closing. All are in the Denver metro area. One in the city itself, and then locations in Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, and Lone Tree.
Georgia has three locations closing including one in Athens. Another location is closing in Roswell, which is in the north Atlanta suburbs and a third location is closing that’s based in Dublin.
Bloomingdale is located in the Chicago area near O’Hare Airport. Another Illinois location that’s closing is in Danville, which is near the Indiana border between Champaign and Indianapolis.
Red Lobster will still have 25 other locations in Illinois after these closures.
Indiana has two locations closing, one in Indianapolis and another in Elkhart, a city next to South Bend. Red Lobster will still have 16 locations in Indiana after these closures.
Iowa has two locations closing including one in Council Bluffs, which is across the river from Omaha. There are six locations remaining in the state after these closures.
Red Lobster is closing four locations that are in the Washington D.C. suburbs. If you live in Montgomery County, finding a Red Lobster just got a lot tougher. After the closures there will be 10 Red Lobsters in the state.
Red Lobster is closing three locations in the state of New York. There’s a location closing in Amherst, which is in the Buffalo area, a Rochester location shutting its doors, and a location in Kingston closing. After the closures, there will still be 25 locations in the state.
South Carolina only has one location closing, but it’s in beach hotspot Myrtle Beach. There will still be 10 Red Lobsters open in the state after this closure.
Texas is seeing three Red Lobster locations close in San Antonio, Lake Jackson, and Longview. After these closures, there will still be 40 locations across the state.
Virginia is seeing three Red Lobsters close. Two locations are in the Hampton Roads area while one is south of Richmond. After the closures, there will be 17 Red Lobsters in the state.
Wisconsin is seeing two locations close in Wauwatosa and La Crosse. After these closures there will only be six Red Lobsters left in the state in Appleton, Ashwaubenon, Eau Claire, Greenfield, Madison, and Mount Pleasant.
