Russell Wilson is now the projected starting quarterback in Pittsburgh after two forgettable years with the Denver Broncos.

Recently, Wilson was spotted working out with former teammate DK Metcalf of the Seattle Seahawks, and the ex-Wisconsin Badger also received a warning from one of his former defensive teammates who currently plays for Coach Sean Payton's Broncos.

Griffith has already circled September 15's date with Wilson and the Steelers on his calendar and has big plans for his defensive performance against the nine-time Pro Bowler and living NFL legend.

"I'm really excited, obviously for any game I get to play in," Griffith said according to Denver Sports 104.3 The Drive .

"But you see that one, you're excited to go out there and beat the Steelers."

The 6-foot-4, 250 pound Griffith had 26 solo tackles and an interception last season for Coach Payton's Broncos, suggesting he has the defensive chops to make life difficult on Wilson and the Broncos.

Perhaps Wilson will be looking extra closely out of the corner of his eye during his time on the field against Griffith and company, which could make the difference between Griffith achieving his goal or having just another game.
