    Denver weather: Sunny and seasonal Friday

    Denver is forecast for sunshine alongside hot highs in the 80s Friday as seasonal conditions persist, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

    Expect sunny skies and a high of 83 degrees, with winds from the north anticipated to roll through the area at 7 to 10 mph. Wind gusts could reach upwards of 17 mph.

    "Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will move across northeastern Colorado this morning, mainly north and east of Fort Morgan," the NWS said. "The showers will diminish this afternoon."

    Looking ahead to Friday night, clear skies are in the forecast and a high of 55 degrees.

    Hotter temps will return to the area Saturday bringing temps in the 90s. A chance for showers returns Sunday afternoon with temperatures dropping back down to the 70s.

    Saturday: Expect sunny skies and a high of 91 degrees.

    Sunday: There's a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 76 degrees.

    Monday: There's a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Expect sunny skies and a high of 81 degrees.

    Tuesday: There's a slight chance for showers in the afternoon. Sunny skies are in the forecast and a high of 88 degrees.
