    Crews fight fire involving 2 houses in Denver

    DENVER (KDVR) — Multiple fire agencies were fighting a fire in Denver on Friday afternoon.

    The Denver Fire Department said just after 2:30 p.m. that two houses were involved in the fire near West Alamo Drive and South Harlan Street.

    Firefighters with South Metro Fire Rescue were helping with efforts to put out the fire. South Metro said it received calls reporting the plume of smoke in the Grant Ranch neighborhood but said the fire was not in their district.

    Denver firefighters reported that the “main body of fire has been knocked in one building,” and crews were working to extinguish and chase hotspots. The fire spread to the attic of one of the buildings.

    Shortly after 4 p.m., crews had the fire under control.

    No injuries have been reported. The fire displaced two families , according to Denver Fire.
