Terrell Davis’ Lawyer Demands More Than Apology From United Airlines

United Airlines issued an official apology to Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis on Tuesday after the former Denver Broncos great publicly called the airline out after a flight attendant had him removed from a plane over the weekend in handcuffs.

But according to Davis’ lawyer Parker Stinar, an admission of wrongdoing simply isn’t enough and they’re seeking for some tangible action to be taken, per a report from TMZ Sports .

“An apology without action is just words,” Stinar said. “It really doesn't address the situation. We can't unright the wrong.”

Per TMZ, Davis’ lawyer is demanding an investigation into the matter, a sit-down conversation with United CEO Scott Kirby and a change to the airline’s policy on dealing with such matters.

Stinar says multiple people have contacted his firm since Davis’ incident with stories of being treated in similar ways, and he didn’t rule out taking legal action against United Airlines over what happened to Davis.

United acknowledged that it has removed the flight attendant in question from duty while it looks into the matter.

In an Instagram post shortly after the incident, Davis alleged that a miscommunication over a request for cup of ice during a flight from Denver to Orange County resulted in an overreaction from a flight attendant who yelled “don’t hit me” toward him and subsequently had him removed from the plane by FBI agents and local law enforcement upon landing without an explanation.

Davis said the incident left him “humiliated, embarrassed, powerless and angry.”
