The Denver Broncos have agreed on a contract extension with one of their best players before the start of training camp. While many have been looking for news regarding a new deal for Courtland Sutton, a new deal for Quinn Meinerz was more of a priority .

Meinerz, a third-round pick out of Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2021, played like one of the best guards in the NFL last season and now he's getting paid like one. According to multiple sources , he has agreed to a 4-year deal worth up to $80 million with $45 million guaranteed.

The Broncos had a rough 2023 season, but if there was a major bright spot, it was the offensive line's play. Now the team has made a big move to keep that group intact.

Quinn Meinerz is a huge building block moving forward for Denver Broncos

Meinerz is 25 years old and will enter his fourth year with the team. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the season and now that worry is off the table.

Meinerz has made 39 starts for the team and is already considered one of the best overall players on the roster. Now he has a chance to prove he is one of the best in the league.

There are now only two guards in the entire league who are paid more than Meinerz on an annual basis: Chris Lindstrom of the Atlanta Falcons and Landon Dickerson of the Philadelphia Eagles. That is good company to be in and it's well-deserved for Meinerz.
