Broncos Great Terrell Davis Says Race Was Underlying Reason For Airplane Arrest

It appears United Airlines messed with the wrong person.
After inexplicably being removed from a United plane in handcuffs over the weekend, Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis is putting the airline on blast for the way it treated him during the incident.
"I certainly felt like that wouldn’t have happened if I were a White person," Davis told CNN . "That’s what I felt. Whether that’s true or not, that’s a different conversation.
“...We did the right thing; we didn’t do anything. Yet I found myself with handcuffs, being paraded off a plane and being treated like a convict."
Davis alleges a United flight attendant had FBI agents and local authorities remove him from a flight from Denver to Orange County upon landing over a simple miscommunication about a cup of ice for his son.

Multiple passengers reportedly recorded the arrest, and Davis maintains that he was given no explanation as to why he was handcuffed and authorities wouldn’t let him ask any questions about the situation.
“Unfortunately, historically, in these situations, interaction with law enforcement as a Black man … you can’t ask,” Davis’ wife Tamiko told CNN. “So thank God my husband has the wherewithal, the class, the understanding to know, in that moment, all he could do was sit there and comply and be humiliated in front of his sons and the 200 … however many people were on that plane. They didn’t give him any other options.”
Davis stated while being questioned by FBI agents, they determined the flight attendant’s accusations had no merit and they apologized to him for the trouble.
United Airlines stated it had issued an apology to Davis and removed the flight attendant from duty while it “reviewed the matter.” However, Davis says the apology was issued to his attorney and not him personally, and he says that’s part of the problem.
