Star wide receivers are holding out of training camp around the NFL. But Courtland Sutton didn't, and the Denver Broncos have now rewarded him.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday the Broncos agreed to restructure Sutton's contract to potentially pay him an additional $1.5 million in incentives.

Sutton could now earn up to $15.2 million for the 2024 season.

"The Broncos signed WR Courtland Sutton to a restructured contract that can pay him up to $15.2 million this season, including $1.5 million in new incentives," wrote Pelissero.

"Sutton reported to training camp on time, and Denver sweetened the deal for one of its team leaders."

This offseason, rumors linked Sutton to other NFL teams through possible trades. But the added incentives with the Broncos will likely give Sutton a much better chance of finishing his current contract in Denver.

Sutton is signed through the 2025 season.

Sutton will count as about a $17.4 million cap hit for this upcoming season. He is set to have a similar cap hit next year.

In six NFL seasons, Sutton has posted 298 catches for 4,259 yards and 24 touchdowns. He had a career-high 10 receiving touchdowns last year.

Sutton made the Pro Bowl with 72 receptions, 1,112 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in 2019.
