Denver weather: Smoky skies remain with temperatures in upper 90s

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Wildfire smoke will linger over the Front Range as temperatures remain hot in the upper 90s in the Denver weather forecast.
Weather today: Hot, sunny and smoky
Mainly sunny skies over Denver on Thursday will remain hazy as wildfire smoke continues to impact the state. Winds will be light through the afternoon as highs top out in the upper 90s.
Wildfire smoke will continue to be an issue, especially for those with respiratory issues. Air quality alerts will be in effect along the Front Range until 4 p.m. Thursday.

Weather tonight: Lingering smoke
Smoke continues to linger from the in-state wildfires Thursday night. The hazy skies won’t have many clouds, and winds will be light as lows end up in the middle 60s.

Looking ahead: Staying hot, mostly dry
Friday finishes the workweek with a mix of sun and clouds, hot highs in the middle 90s and the chance for afternoon thunderstorms.
Saturday will start the weekend with skies staying sunny, possibly smoky, with highs topping out in the middle 90s. Sunday will be just as hot with highs in the upper 90s, sunny skies and a very small chance for a storm.

Tuesday is closer to seasonal averages in the lower 90s as skies are partly cloudy. Storm chances are small, but possible on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday has highs near 90 degrees as storm chances remain in the afternoon as extra clouds linger.
