As if they needed anything else, the Las Vegas Raiders are going to be even more incentivized to beat the Denver Broncos in Week 5 now after some recent news.
This is a rivalry, and these two teams don't need a whole lot of bulletin board material to beat one another. They are already motivated enough to beat the team they hate the most, just by seeing the other's uniforms. That's just the level of hate the Raiders and Broncos have for one another, along with every other team in the AFC West.
But, if there was a way to incentivize or motivate the Raiders even more in Week 5 when they play one another , it just came out, and it has everything to do with the Raiders wanting to embarrass the Broncos.
This season the Broncos revamped their uniforms. They made whole new uniforms that actually don't look too bad. They certainly look better than the prior ones, which wasn't hard to beat. They came out with a navy one, white, and orange, of course, along with three new helmets.
The navy helmet that looks the same as the previous one is a bit different. They made it matte navy and put a strip in the back. Then they kept their snowcap helmets but added a stripe there, too.
Then, they made a new throwback uniform to represent the 1977 season. And, let's be honest, they are pretty nice. But, that's the thing, the uniforms are nice, so that's the perfect time for the Raiders to embarrass the Broncos.
The Broncos released the dates that they would debut their new throwbacks, and the first game is against the Raiders in Week 5, where the Raiders will also be wearing their throwbacks, or their current ones, which I guess is the same thing.
This is the perfect opportunity for the Raiders to ruin the party.
