Eighteen Mile Creek proposed clean up plan, community comments welcome
NEW YORK — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed a new cleanup plan on Friday for a portion of the Eighteen Mile Creek Superfund site in Niagara County. The EPA is asking the public to comment on the plan starting Friday, July 19 until August 19. EPA will host a public meeting at Newfane Townhall located at 2737 Main Street, Newfane, on August 1 at 6 p.m.
Homeless Man Sentenced to 2 to 4 Years in Prison for Multiple Thefts
(WNY News Now) – Buffalo – Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that 33-year-old man of no permanent address was sentenced last Friday morning before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek to 2 to 4 years in prison. He was sentenced as a second felony offender.

Buffalo Man Convicted of Burglary and Grand Larceny After Swift Jury Decision
(WNY News Now) – Buffalo – A Buffalo man faces up to 7 years in prison following his conviction for burglary and grand larceny after a rapid jury verdict. Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that a jury has found 38-year-old Sergio J. Brooks of Buffalo guilty of one count of Burglary in the Third Degree (Class “D” felony) and one count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class “E” felony). Jurors rendered their decision yesterday afternoon after less than four hours of deliberation following a one-day trial, convicting the defendant of both counts in the indictment.
