On Friday, a 59-year-old from Flushing and a 61-year-old from China were arrested in connection with an ongoing human trafficking investigation at a Baldwinsville spa, according to news released Friday from state police.

A Chenango County man is dead after a head-on collision in the Town of Brookfield Tuesday afternoon. New York State Police report Dominick E. Brown, 44, from New Berlin was driving a pickup truck southbound on NY-8 when he crossed over the double yellow line into the opposite, striking an SUV driven by a 63-year-old woman woman from Leonardsville.

Toddler Airlifted By LifeNet After Ingesting Gasoline in Freetown – Expected to Survive
A toddler was airlifted by LifeNet to a pediatric hospital after ingesting gasoline, the Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MAVAC) said in a release. The call came in around 11 in the morning on Friday, July 26th in the Town of Freetown. Members of MAVAC, the Marathon Fire Department, and New York State Police responded.
Syracuse TV host leaving ‘Bridge Street’ after 4 years
Syracuse television host Steve Infanti is leaving “Bridge Street Live” after four years on the daytime talk show. Infanti announced Friday that next week will be his last week on “Bridge Street Live,” though he will be staying at NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV) full-time. Infanti said he’ll now focus “100 percent” of his time and energy on his role as the ABC affiliate’s sports director as Syracuse football heads into its “most anticipated” season in more than 20 years.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- The number of shots fired incidents in Syracuse tripled in a week and appear to stem from beefs between rival gangs, police said. In seven days, there were 36 shots fired incidents in Syracuse, according to Syracuse Police COMPSTAT reports. That’s compared to 12 shots fired incidents the week before.

Man arrested after threatening to kill CNY cops, 911 dispatchers in 22 calls
Salina, N.Y. – A man who threatened to shoot up police headquarters and a 911 call center was arrested Thursday. Corey Kinsella, 31, was charged with making a terroristic threat after making 22 calls to the Onondaga County 911 Center, according to a news release Friday from the Onondaga County District Attorney’s office. Making a terroristic threat is a felony, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
