Fugitive captured after he's caught urinating in public in Rockville
If you are currently wanted by the police, the smartest mode of operation is to avoid engaging in further illegal activity that might attract the attention of law enforcement. That strategy eluded an individual who allegedly was caught urinating in public in the 2000 block of Veirs Mill Road in Rockville on June 29, 2024. A Rockville City police officer ran the 32-year-old suspect's name through the system, and learned that the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, for failure to appear in court. He was taken into custody on both matters, police report.
Douglas Man Sentenced to Over 10 Years for Fatal Alien Smuggling Operation
A Douglas man has been handed a 130-month prison sentence for his role in an illegal alien smuggling operation that resulted in a death. Manuel Victor Gastelum, 27, received the sentence after pleading guilty to charges of Transportation of Illegal Aliens for Profit Resulting in Death. The sentencing by United States District Court Judge Rosemary Márquez took place last week, according to an official press release from the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona.
