Caitlin Clark Speaks Her Truth On Incredible Iowa Decision

You never forget where you came from. Before Caitlin Clark became this sports megastar, she was just a kid from Des Moines, Iowa. Clark played her high school career in nearby Dowling Catholic, where her legend started.
Clark didn't move far from Des Moines, choosing to go to Iowa for college. There, she blossomed into one of the greatest college basketball players of all time. Clark would eventually be drafted by the Indiana Fever with the first overall pick.
On Friday, Caitlin Clark returned to Des Moines to give back to her community. Her Caitlin Clark Foundation donated 350 school bags with supplies to Des Moines Public Schools. It was an incredible gesture from the WNBA star.
Clark talked a little bit about this massive donation. For the former Iowa Hawkeye, this was the "coolest part" about her current position.
"Honestly, this is the coolest part about what I get to do," Clark told John Sears in an interview. "Being able to give back to a place that's given me so much, the Des Moines area, West Point area, has meant a lot to me."
"To be able to use my resources and platform to give back to kids and families that have been an integral part of my life is very cool for me," she continued.

Clark has come a long way from her humble roots in Iowa. She is the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I Women's basketball history. She is arguably the most recognizable face in the WNBA today.
Still, Clark clearly has a lot of appreciation for her roots. The kids who received these supplies will not forget this awesome gesture.
