Authorities arrested 22 people, seized 18 firearms and recovered narcotics during a two-week crime sweep in San Bernardino County.
Operation Consequences is part of an ongoing, countywide crime suppression initiative sanctioned by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, which provides funding to law enforcement agencies to crack down on crimes affecting the “quality of life” of residents in the Inland Empire.
Between June 29 and July 12, investigators served 18 search warrants at several locations across the county, including in Ontario, Redlands, San Bernardino and Desert Hot Springs.
Over the span of two weeks, investigators contacted known gang members and people prohibited from possessing firearms.
The operation yielded 22 felony arrests, an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and 18 firearms, four of which were ghost guns — untraceable firearms that are assembled using spare or 3D-printed parts and which have no serial number.

The Sheriff’s Department did not identify any of those arrested during the two-week sweep but said the operation would continue to take place over the next several months in an effort to “curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle targeted criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest criminals who are illegally possessing, manufacturing, and trafficking firearms. “
The operation includes participation from other law enforcement agencies in San Bernardino County, including California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation and the United States Marshals Service.
