DETROIT (WWJ) Michigan State Police are investigating a possible freeway shooting after a man told dispatchers he was shot at multiple times on the Lodge.

In a statement on X , State Police said their Detroit Regional Communication Center received a call from the man on Saturday (6/29) around 8:30 p.m. Troopers met the caller at the Lodge Service Drive and Clairmont St.

He told troopers a red pickup truck pulled up in the right lane next to his car and fired three shots at him—while he was driving on northbound M-10 The Lodge in the area of Warren Avenue and I-94 ramps.

His car wasn’t hit. He was not hurt and there were no other reports of injuries or damage, State Police said.

Troopers closed the northbound Lodge to search for evidence and found none.

“Detectives are continuing to look into this incident,” First Lieutenant Mike Shaw said. “Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call 855-MICH-TIP or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.”
