Red Wings release 2024-25 regular season schedule

The Red Wings have released their schedule for the 2024-25 season, when the team will try to snap a franchise-worst eight-year playoff drought.

Detroit opens the season with a Thursday night home game against the Penguins on Oct. 10, before hosting Steve Stamkos and the new-look Predators that Saturday. The Wings play seven of their first 11 games at home, giving the club a chance to get off to a good start.

In November, Detroits hosts the Islanders in its usual Thanksgiving eve game, then hosts the Bruins that Saturday.

December features two weekend home games against Toronto and a four-game homestand on either side of Christmas, cresting with the Penguins on New Year's Eve.

The Red Wings get their first crack at the defending Cup champion Panthers in January at the start of a four-game roadtrip. The February schedule is shortened by the first-ever 4 Nations Face-Off.

The Wings kick off March with a Stadium Series game against the Blue Jackets at Ohio Stadium, Detroit's first outdoor game in eight years. Later in the month, they'll play their first ever games against the Utah Hockey Club.

Detroit plays Florida twice more in April and closes the season against the Maple Leafs on April 17. The full schedule is below.
