    Detroit Police are still searching for 17-year-old girl, who disappeared after visit with friend four months ago

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- Crime Stoppers of Michigan has announced a $2,500 reward for tips in the case of a missing 17-year-old girl.

    According to Detroit Police, My’Ca Alise Redes was last seen on Friday, March 8, 2024.

    After leaving to spend the weekend at a friend's house, police said Redes failed to return to her home, in the 6400 block of Ashton St. on Detroit's west side.

    The teen was reported missing by her family on May 13, and the Detroit Police Department put out a missing person's report .

    On July 4, the DPD sent out a request asking for a reflash of this case, as the teen still hasn't come home.

    According to Crime Stoppers, the teen was on a social media post as recently as May 30 — but she still hasn't come home. Officials have not released any details about the post.

    Redes is described as a Black female, 5'6'' tall and weighing 115 lbs., with brown eyes and black and blonde hair in box braids. Police said she has a tattoo on her forearm, but the design is unknown. There is no description of her clothing when she was last seen.
