    Lions' Terrion Arnold Memorializes "True Brother" Khyree Jackson In Emotional Social Media Post

    Detroit Lions rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Alabama, three rounds ahead of his college teammate Khyree Jackson, who died in a tragic car accident on Saturday.

    Upon hearing the news, Arnold took to his X account of nearly 40,000 followers to memorialize his former teammate, whom he called a "true brother."

    "The journey it took for you to get to where you was at and you really accomplished your goals of making it to the NFL, you really looked out for me," Arnold wrote.

    "A true brother and all you wanted to do was see me succeed and vice versa always love slim."

    Arnold also shared video footage of the duo embracing on the field and sharing their love of football with Alabama Crimson Tide fans in college.

    Jackson was said to have a positive attitude and energy that was "contagious" to the Minnesota Vikings' team according to Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell.

    Now, Arnold, O'Connell and the rest of Jackson's teammates both current and former have been left to grapple with the sadness and agony of losing a 24-year-old football prodigy who gave so much to the world of football, both on and off the field.

    "We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson's death following an overnight car accident (in Upper Marlboro, Maryland)," the Minnesota Vikings' X page stated.

    "Our thoughts are with Khyree's family, friends, teammates and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident."
