Michigan man arrested and charged in Raleigh County

GHENT, WV (WVNS) — A Michigan man was arrested and charged after a search warrant was carried out in Raleigh County.

28-year-old Harold Burton, of Detroit, Michigan, was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of Fentanyl.

Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team members executed a search warrant at a house on Walker Street in the Ghent area of Raleigh County on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

When carrying out the search warrant, members of law enforcement found two guns, suspected pressed Fentanyl pills, and suspected Fentanyl.

Burton was taken to Southern Regional Jail with a $150,000 bond.

Members of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, Beckley Police Department, the West Virginia State Police, the FBI, and ATF make up the Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, all suspects/defendants are believed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
