Michigan chain offers chicken tenders deal for National Chicken Finger Day on July 27

With so many days designated for celebrating Americans’ favorite foods this month, July could easily be considered a month for foodies. There was National French Fry Day on July 12, National Ice Cream Day July 21 and hundreds — if not thousands — of coneys are sure to be indulged upon throughout metro Detroit on July 25 for National Chili Dog Day.

What’s the point of these national food holidays? (And who’s the honorable guy or gal who gets to declare such a day?) Well, they allow enthusiastic eaters to celebrate some of their favorite dishes. They also allow restaurants and food businesses to market the menu items they’re best known for. That comes with big perks for diners, like discounts and giveaways for delicious treats. And everyone loves a freebie.

That’s exactly what the metro Detroit fast-food chain Savvy Sliders is doing this Saturday, July 27 in honor of National Chicken Finger Day. Guests who purchase an order of chicken fingers at any Savvy Sliders restaurant is eligible for a second order of chicken fingers for free.

Though best known for its range of, well, sliders, Savvy Sliders also serves up crispy, golden chicken tenders made with juicy white meat. The breading is available in mild or spicy and guests can choose among a range of six sauces for dunking, from BBQ and honey mustard sauce to ranch and a signature peach-toned Savvy Sauce.

Savvy Sliders has locations throughout Michigan, including restaurants in metro Detroit, Flint, Okemos and Grand Rapids. The buy-one-get-one-free promotion is only available on July 27 in honor of National Chicken Finger Day, and cannot be applied to combo box orders that pair sliders with chicken fingers, fries and a beverage.
