Jared Goff Might Have The Highest Floor In Fantasy

Since Goff's arrival in Detroit, he has had some of his best years fantasy-wise. This season, he finished as QB 7, while the year before, he finished as QB 10. The Lions, in the 2023 season, had the second-highest passing attempts of any team in the league (605 attempts), and that can be expected to continue with the offense built around him. Since Goff isn't going to light up the rushing stat sheet, he has to be efficient with his yardage and touchdown output.

His main weapons are Wide Receiver Amon Ra St. Brown, Tight End Sam LaPorta, and Running Back Jahmyr Gibbs. There is also former-round pick WR Jameson Williams, who will finally get the chance to play a full year of football and prove himself. In the 2023 season, the Lions had a disappointing exit in the NFC championship, which could give them a reason to become an even more lethal offense.

Goff might not always produce in the flashiest of ways, but typically, due to his high passing volume, he typically puts up consistent stats. Even though he doesn't have a mobile aspect to his game, he still had 7 top-12 finishes and only one finish outside the top 24. Goff gives a very decent fantasy floor with an upside.

St. Brown is as effective as they come, and his rookie weapons from last year should be able to take another step forward, which could help Goff rise even higher. If you take Goff in a redraft league, he is a solid starting quarterback. You can surround him with top producers in your other positions.

Our consensus projections for Goff in the 2024 season would be: 432 completions, 4811 yards, 32 touchdowns, 10 interceptions through the air, and 23 carries for 43 yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
