    Detroit man pleads guilty to charges related to West Virginia drug trafficking conspiracy

    CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Detroit man has pleaded guilty to charges related to a West Virginia drug trafficking conspiracy.

    According to U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld, Shakur Jones, 25, of Detroit, Michigan, has pled guilty to charges related to a drug trafficking conspiracy.

    Jones admitted to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

    Jones was identified as the supplier of methamphetamine, cocaine base, and fentanyl for a drug trafficking operation in Monongalia County.

    Law enforcement officers investigating the case searched a residence in Morgantown where they discovered over a kilogram of methamphetamine and found Jones in one of the bedrooms.

    A search of Jones’s phone revealed a photograph of 10 pounds of prepackaged methamphetamine taken two days before the raid.

    Two other defendants, Nolan Eickleberry, 27, of Morgantown, and Dorian Myles, 26, of Detroit, Michigan, have also admitted to their involvement in the conspiracy and are awaiting sentencing.
