The Detroit Lions and New York Giants held their first joint practice of training camp on Monday and it will no doubt go down in the history books as one of the most physical sessions between two teams.

There were countless fights (one writer counted eight in total ) during the course of the morning, and multiple beat writers remarked that it was one of the craziest joint practices they have ever seen.

Somewhat lost in the sauce in all of that was the fact that Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold got banged-up during the session, as he left practice early with trainers and is being evaluated for a concussion, per Justin Rogers of Detroit Football Network .

Arnold's exit likely came after this absolutely massive block from Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas that Arnold somehow managed to stay on his feet for. He was also ready to play through it. The rookie just earned a new level of respect for this one.

Make sure to turn the sound on to hear just how loud Thomas' hit was, because as big as the block clearly was just by looking at it, only sound can fully do it justice. And, in turn, that only makes Arnold standing up to it more impressive.

We can only hope that Arnold will be OK, as concussions are always scary.

Not only are the Lions depending on him for a major role in 2024, he has also shown no shortage of promise in his first offseason in the NFL. And now he's earned a bit more respect, too.
