    CB Emmanuel Moseley.

Detroit Lions cornerback Emmanuel Moseley continues to be one of the unluckiest players in the NFL when it comes to injuries.

Moseley spent his first five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, including a 2018 rookie campaign that lasted just three snaps due to a season-ending shoulder injury. Moseley had one of his best years in 2019, playing all 16 contests (making nine starts) and making a career high 50 combined tackles with eight passes defended and one interception as well.

He added 14 tackles, four passes defended and one interception across the team's three playoff games, helping the Niners reach Super Bowl LIV.

The 28-year-old was limited to 12 games in 2020 and 11 in 2021, before his 2022 season ended during the San Francisco's Week 5 road victory over the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium due to a torn left ACL.

The undrafted Tennessee product joined the Lions in March 2023 and made his debut with the team in Week 5 at Ford Field in the Motor City, ironically, against the Panthers. Ford Field, like Bank of America Stadium, uses artificial turf.

That game occurred one day prior to the one-year anniversary of Moseley's ACL tear in Charlotte, North Carolina. On only his second snap with Detroit, Moseley suffered a season-ending torn right ACL .

He re-signed with the Lions on a one-year deal in March. According to an ESPN report , Moseley was "transitioning away from outside cornerback during training camp" to contend with Amik Robertson and Ifeatu Melifonwu for the team's primary nickel cornerback position.
