The Detroit Lions saw a pair of players exit the first joint practice on Monday early in order to be evaluated for injuries, with both cornerback Terrion Arnold and guard Kevin Zeitler leaving the field. Thankfully, there's good news on both.

Per head coach Dan Campbell , Arnold, who was being evaluated for a concussion , has cleared the protocol and will practice on Tuesday. The rookie was involved in a play that saw him take a massive block from Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas that he somehow managed to stay on his feet for. Talk about toughness.

When it comes to Zeitler, who is dealing with a shoulder issue , Campbell revealed that the injury is "minor" and won't impact the veteran guard long term. He will not practice on Tuesday, however.

Tight end Sam LaPorta popped up with an injury issue before Monday's practice and did not take part. Campbell says that the second-year tight end is dealing with a hamstring issue that doesn't appear to be a big concern.

We have two new injuries to monitor, as both defensive back Ifeatu Melifonwu and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez will not practice after getting banged-up the day before. It isn't clear exactly what Rodriguez or Melifonwu are dealing with, but Campbell says they are minor issues, also.

The biggest injury news of the day came down before Campbell took the podium on Tuesday morning, as ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that cornerback Emmanuel Moseley has suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

That leaves him out indefinitely, but Campbell did leave the door open for a possible return late in the season . Regardless, just a devastating blow for Moseley, who worked his way back from a second torn ACL in as many years and was in competition for the slot cornerback job.
