It was a lively two days of joint training camp practices between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions , and it will cost the organizations some hefty payments.

Multiple fights broke out during Monday and Tuesday's joint practices to the point where both teams had to call practice early on the final day because the focus was more on fighting than running through the drills.

Even Giants quarterback Daniel Jones found his way into the middle of scrum on Monday while rookie sensation Malik Nabers exchanged some massive punches with Lions safety Kerby Joseph during Tuesday's practice.

The NFL is clearly making an example of this as the league fined both the Giants and Lions each $200,000 for the multiple fights that broke out.

The league also sent out a memo reminding clubs that fighting and unprofessional conduct at joint practices would not be tolerated.

Joint practices are always full fights considering the high tensions between both teams. Most of the time, this is the first time before the preseason that clubs will face off against opponents rather than their own teammates.

Most of what went down this week at the joint practices wouldn't take place in a game because there would be mass ejections.

The Giants and Lions are set to face off in their respective preseason openers Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. ET.
