Two Lycoming County men charged after agreeing to fight each other
Montgomery, Pa. — Two men were charged after they engaged in a mutually-agreed fight in Montgomery, police said. Brandon Michael Buck, 24, of Hughesville argued with Aiden Elijah Schwenk-Probst, 18, of Muncy near a home in the 60 block of E. Houston Avenue, Trooper Dylan Houser said. Man allegedly rapes, chokes sleeping woman
West Milton, Pa. — A Union County man is accused of raping a woman who fell asleep in a living room. Police arrested Daniel Edward Pendergrass, 30, of West Milton, after responding to the scene on July 14 at a home in Kelly Township. Trp. Brett Harvey of state police at Milton spoke with the female accuser. Harvey noted she had visible red, black, and blue bruises on her neck, face, back area of her neck, and arms, according to the affidavit. ...

Davidson Township, Pa. — A child confessed to smoking marijuana he found inside a tool box in the basement of his father’s home. Barcode swap fails, woman charged
Hemlock Township, Pa. — A woman allegedly swapped barcodes on clothing at Walmart in an effort to lower her checkout total. An investigation into a June 28 theft led police to Barbara Ann Ercolino, of Danville, according to Hemlock Township Police Officer Craig Johnson. The 60-year-old Ercolino managed to avoid paying $78 to Walmart by swapping the bar codes, Johnson added. Ercolino is being charged with retail theft and defiant trespassing. She is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing with Judge Doug Brewer at the end of August. No bail is listed for Ercolino. Docket sheet
Williamsport Bureau of Police to host National Night Out
Williamsport, Pa. — Just a couple of days after the Lycoming Regional Police Department's National Night Out events, the Williamsport Bureau of Police will have a Night Out of their own. This year's Williamsport PD Night Out is a summertime complement to visits and presentations made to local students in the preceding months. Lycoming County Commissioners: Opioid settlements, equipment grants, and phone scams
Williamsport, Pa. — During Thursday's meeting, the Lycoming County Commissioners discussed new funding and grant applications and addressed phone scams and safety. The County Commissioners voted and approved several agenda items at Thursday's morning meeting. Director of Admission, Matt McDermott, presented one of the meeting’s bigger agenda items: ratifying Wave Two Settlements, which is money allocated for the purpose of addressing the opioid epidemic. The approval would allow the next round of opioid payments to be released and sent to rehabilitation centers and other local organizations that help people with opioid addictions.

The mother of the alleged shooter in an incident that happened in Loyalsock township that killed 15 year old Ahmeen Palmer is being charged as an accomplice to murder and her preliminary hearings started yesterday. According to the Sun Gazette, Johneice Francin Legare faces 10 charges and most remain sealed from the public. After an investigation, police say Legare drove the suspect to the East Third Street parking lot March 2nd allegedly to confront the victim, and after the shooting, drove away with the suspect in her car and cell phone records indicated they went to the Philadelphia area. District Judge Gary Whiteman bound over all charges in the case and a trial date of Legare has not been set. The alleged suspect, Ja’hsir Legare, remains at large at this time.
