Creston man arrested on warrants and a drug charge
(Creston, Iowa) – A Union County man was arrested Wednesday evening on a drug charge and warrants. According to the Creston Police Department, 30-year-old Patrick Riley Iiams, of Creston, was arrested at the Bomgaars Store in Creston, just before 6-p.m. Iiams was charged with Possess Drug Paraphernalia. He was also taken into custody on warrants for Domestic Abuse Impeding flow of Air/blood, and for Failure to appear on a charge of Theft in the 5th degree and Consumption of alcohol in a public space/1st Offense.
2 arrested on drug charges in Creston
(Creston, Iowa) – Officials with the Creston Police Department say two people were arrested on drug charges late Thursday night. Authorities says 34-year-old Stewart Russell Anderson and 28-year-old Jeremy Wayne Elbrecht, Jr., both of Creston, were arrested a little after 11-p.m., Thursday, at 507 N. Division Street. Both were charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were cited and released from the scene on a promise to appear in court.
Property damage accident in Creston Thursday evening
(Creston, Iowa) – A collision in Creston Thursday evening caused a police estimated, $5,500 damage, but there were no injuries. Authorities say a 2020 Chevy Equinox driven by 19-year-old Lucas Rushing, of Creston, was traveling east on Townline Street at around 6:20-p.m., and attempting to turn right onto N. Vine Street, when the SUV failed to stay in its own lane.
Pickup & an SUV/trailer collision in Creston leaves both vehicles disable
(Creston, Iowa) – A collision Wednesday morning in Creston left two vehicles disabled, but no one was hurt. According to the Creston Police Department, 37-year-old Andrew J. Putz, of Greenfield, was driving a pickup northbound in the inside lane on N. Sumner Street at around 10:25-a.m, when he noticed an ambulance with visible lights and siren activated, traveling north on Sumner, coming up behind him.
Lorimor woman booked on warrants in Creston
(Creston) -- A Lorimor woman was arrested on multiple warrants in Creston Tuesday evening. The Creston Police Department says 43-year-old Megan Marie Brown was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. on four warrants, all for failure to appear on the original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance--marijuana and methamphetamine, 1st offense--both serious misdemeanors, and for failure to serve jail time on the charge of person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons, a serious misdemeanor. Authorities say the arrest occurred at 307 North Street.
