Kimco’s highly visible redevelopment of the southern half of its Wilton Center campus into a five-story, 169-unit residential/commercial complex has been at the center of that discussion. On Monday, July 22, after a two-and-a-half year journey that began in December 2021, the project seemed poised to finally proceed to public comment and possibly an up or down vote by the Commission. This follows a meeting on July 8 in which the team seemed surprised by the amount of design pushback they received from the Commission after so much time spent in pre-application hearings.
